Learners Explore Nature at Zandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve

On 13 August, our learners had the incredible opportunity to go on an excursion to the Zandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve. Guided by the reserve’s knowledgeable staff, the learners were able to experience firsthand the beauty and complexity of this important wetland ecosystem.

Zandvlei Estuary is a vital natural habitat that supports a wide variety of plant and animal species. During their visit, the learners explored the tidal waters, marshlands, and diverse birdlife that call the estuary home. The reserve’s staff shared valuable insights into the role wetlands play in maintaining ecological balance, filtering water, and providing shelter for wildlife.

This hands-on experience allowed the learners to connect deeply with nature and understand the importance of preserving such delicate environments. The guidance from the reserve’s staff enriched their knowledge and sparked a greater appreciation for conservation efforts.

We are truly grateful to the Almighty for blessing our learners with this wonderful opportunity to learn and grow outside the classroom. May this experience inspire them to cherish and protect the natural world around them
