Learning Support is a way to ensure that all learners are able to make progress and achieve according to their potential. Learning Support provides a platform to transform and guide teaching towards the essential support system that the teacher needs.

  • What is the role of the Learning Support teacher ?

The Learning Support teacher works closely with classroom teachers to co-plan, co-teach and assess learners in an effort to meet the varying needs of learners within our school.

  • What is the role of the Learning Support assistant?

The Learning Support Assistant’s main role is to provide support for pupils with special educational needs. A good Learning Support Assistant must get on well with children and be able to build a good relationship with the children, teachers and also parents.

Show the learner that we care and to be transparent and ready to help. 

  • How we make learning support successful?

By using the inclusive education model. 

  • How learners are chosen?

Learners are chosen according to their learning barriers as set in the SNA1.

SBST – School Based Support Team.

The SBST is responsible for determining the support needs of the school, teachers and learners.
